History
I graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Cum Laude from UT Austin, started my career at the Lockheed Artificial Intelligence Lab in Austin, then transferred to the NASA Ames AI Lab. Three years later I took some time off to explore the intersection of Technology, Art and Spirituality. When I returned to the mainstream workforce it was in the video effects industry (to support this new-found passion), and ended up at Silicon Graphics as the sole Digital Media Solutions Engineer. After the unfortunate collapse of SGI, I focused on my artistic passion again for a while, then settled into the role of IT Support Specialist for 10 years. In 2015 I started VoxLux, serving residential and small business clients mainly between Palo Alto and San Francisco.
Yelp reviews (12 x five stars) for my work at the previous IT company are here.
Meet the Business Owner
During some of those “off times” I develop custom computer graphics software which I have used to give over 100 live performances mainly in California, but as far away as Mexico, Brazil, Portugal and Switzerland. I also ride a sport-touring motorcycle, fly r/c drones, practice yoga and love hiking the Pacifica hills. Recently I have taken up solar-assisted electric-powered inflatable boating!

Fun Fact: The name VoxLux, roughly from the Latin “Voice of Light” was originally the vehicle to continue my spiritual/artistic adventures in Live Visual Projections, but now also includes my work in Tech Support Services. So if you’re wondering “Why the weird name?” There you go. If you’re wondering “What does that have to do with computer work?” well, ok, it doesn’t.
